Large French Soyez Père Lille Travel Trunk (SOLD)

This stunning Large late 19th-century Soyez Père Lille French Steamer Trunk is made from leather with hardwood banding and brass fittings. 

The corners are edged with brass as are the sides and top, with full leather carry handles that are all original to this trunk, the locks are all brass and have been polished to showcase the original finish, the interior remains original, lined with red velvet and linen, there are two main removable trays that reveal a bottom tray with an inner small removable trinket tray, all have their original leather handles and strapping, the base is zinc lined for protection, with brass caters. The locks bare the label of the makers mark SOYEZ Père Lille. 

This beautiful Travel Trunk is Louis Vuitton quality and full of charm and character, and wouldn’t look out of place in your living room, hallway, bedroom or as a shop display. C1890
