This piece would have been used by Artist to display their works of Art, with a square top plinth where the pottery or sculpture would be placed, with a hand carved Gothic style tripod base below. This stand is adjustable and has shelving below with a wooden mechanisms to turn the top piece in a circular motion in order to gain the high required to display the Art Work.C1900
