A Superb Black Chinoiserie Mantel Clock, hand painted to the highest standard, with stunning detailing to the black lacquered case, set on 4 brass bun feet, complimented with a French made 8 day movement, remains in original working condition. C1920

Chinoiserie was a decorative style in Western art, furniture, and architecture, especially in the 18th century, characterised by the use of Chinese motifs and techniques.
