A Very Rare Black Lacquered Chinoiserie Folding Card Table, this stunning table comes with a leather inset top and gilded border, hand painted chinoiserie motifs, set on four tapering legs. C1900

The table is in fantastic condition and is in full working and folds flat for easy transportation. There is expected wear to the lacquer as you would expect for a table of this age.

This type of table is highly collectible, considered art in its own right, the quality of the painting is exquisite. Chinoiserie was a decorative style in Western art, furniture, and architecture, especially in the 18th century, characterised by the use of Chinese motifs and techniques. (We have 2 tables available, not matching but very similar, can be purchased as a set on request).
