A fine quality Victorian painted waterfall bookcase. Made from Pine with a panelled back, headed by a shaped top. This waterfall/open bookcase is an upright rectangular form with seven fixed graduated shelves set on a painted shaped apron. C1898
Waterfall bookcases were introduced in the Regency period and the form flourished as part of the overall classic and elegant aesthetic.
This bookcase would make a great display shelf in any room or as a shop display piece.
