Antique Pine Campaign Field Table (SOLD)

A Superb Pine Metamorphic Folding Table. Made from English Pine, this table folds completely flat, making it easy to store away and travel with, used by the military, these tables were also known as campaign furniture. C1900

Any furniture specifically made to break down or fold for ease of travel can be described as campaign furniture. It was designed to be packed up and carried on the march. It has been used by traveling armies since at least the time of Julius Caesar but it is commonly associated with British Army Officers. 

This is a beautiful piece of furniture, remains fully functional and in original condition, would make a grate occasional table and easily stored away when not in use. (Depth when closed Approx 15cm)
