A rare & large glass, cut crystal whisky dispenser/decanter. The dispenser having a faceted lid with a tall finial above a faceted knob, the body having a baluster shaped reservoir with the wording “The Chiel” in gilded letters. The decanter retains the original brass serving spigot, the decanter is engraved to the rear with a shield shaped cartouche & labeled J.A.Cox, Maner, Soho, London. W. Rd No. 97380. The decanter standing on a faceted flared foot. C1870
There is a small chip to the foot and some very tiny chips to the top of the lid, but this does not take away the beauty of this rare antique dispenser, in very good original condition, would make a great display piece. (Width without tap 18cm)
