A superb large sized Regency gentleman’s writing slope box. Hand made in England from satinwood with brass inlaid borders, two flush brass carry handles. The interior has a black velvet writing surface, fitted with various compartments and secret drawers, the makers label for Middleton. C1820
This was a quality piece of Regency table top furniture, finished to the highest standard, and having the the Middleton label is the mark of a fine writing slope. Remains in original condition and would make a lovely addition to any collection.
