Beautiful, rare and superb quality Mappin & Webb leather trunk, intended for world travel. Details inside the trunk would have held silver pieces made by the longstanding company, inlined with supreme grade Moroccan leather. This piece was likely commissioned for a private client with the initials W.G. stamped on the lid. A wonderful item that will stand alone or in any interior design, as well as being a fantastic part of British history with attribution stamp to authenticate. C1900.
