Rare Vintage “Moynat Paris” Motoring Trunk

A rare and very unusual vintage Moynat motoring suitcase. Made from canvas, with a leather handle, brass corners & locks with Moynat stamped on them, the case still retains the original brass luggage rings to the lid for strapping to the car. The makers brass plaque “LES MALLES MOYNAT” depicting an automobile, a train and a steam liner is pinned on the outside of the case, and a maker label on the inside of the lid, which has two leather straps inside to hold items in place. Moynat is one of the finest historic Parisian luggage makers and made this case with unusual proportions so that this was made to fit into the back of an old car. This motoring trunk is in superb condition.
