A Beautiful Army Navy Tantalus. Made from oak with brass edging and lock, the inside of the box is beautifully lined with blue velvet, it comprises or three compartments for the square cut glass decanters with star cut bases, the lid has the maker lable Army Navy C.S.L Makers. C1880

These Tantalus boxes were found in the finest of homes, generally lockable due to containing expensive drinks, making it hard for anyone to take a drink without permission. This is a lovely piece, and remains in original condition.
