A really lovely pair of bespoke Vintage Army officer’s turn countryman’s leather field boots, dating from the 1930’s.
This style of army officer’s turn countryman’s boot originated from the Boer War and being waterproof and built for all conditions became increasingly popular during WWI. There is no makers mark however this type of boot is typically associated with makers such as Crockett & Jones, Joseph Cheane and Lotus.
In excellent condition, with a studded sole and wooden shoe trees. These boots would be a rustic or military style decorational piece or still wearable if the boot fits.
