Vintage Pratts Metal Petrol Can (SOLD)

An original Pratts petrol can complete with brass screw cap. The gasoline can has the original paint with the perfect amount of patina, the top has with the words ‘Pratts Petroleum Spirit Highly Inflammable’, and 3/-. ‘Pratts’ is impressed on all sides of the can.  A great piece of original motoring memorabilia.

Two Gallon deliveries from Pratt’s. – In the early 1900’s  Petroleum spirit had to be collected from general stores, blacksmiths and chemists and carried in cars by early motorists. Early bulk deliveries were made by rail and horse & cart.
